Getting there! Have now finished all aspects of all Tall Tales, Bilge Rats, Reapers, Order of Souls, Gold Hoarders, Merchants, and Hunters Call. Megaladons are vexing me.
How far along are you? Has anyone finished ALL commendations, including the two new factions? That would be quite a feat!

Pre season 7 I just had some delivery merchant stuff I wasn't fully done with yet and generous gifts.
I did all mine 100% organic and largely solo so some of them took me a very long time. It took me a very long time to get the 5 grade 5 athena flags pre veil. I only saw 8 or 9 the entire time organically and I don't sink boats that aren't gonna put up a fight so I had to let a few go.
Those type of commendations were the only tough ones because it relied on other people's activity. Even the 5 grade 5 order of souls flags took me about as long as athena did.
I did about 80ish% of hunter's call fish out of shipwrecks and random barrels/rowboats so that took a long time but I enjoyed it.
I don't have any of the buy supply stuff because I don't buy supplies and I'll only ever have 1 ship so I don't have the 15 ship thing. A few things I'll never do.
I won't unlock HG stuff because it's not random adventure and I only am interested in random adventure.
With the small amount of time I get to play the game, as well as the fact that I never touched Arena, there's exactly 0% that I will ever get 100% in the game. Even if I for some reason did have the Arena achievements all done, or didn't care to include them in my total, I personally don't find grinding Achievements for Achievements'-sake to be something enjoyable. No shame to those who do, though! It's a great goal for some people to have, and they get a lot of enjoyment seeing those things get checked off their list, and more power to them. For me, though, since I only get a few hours per week to game anyway, if I WAS going to 100% a game I wouldn't be playing Sea of Thieves.
Mostly I see what activities I want to do and see if there are any commendations/achievements based around them, or go for things with cosmetics that I like, like Umbra's Chronical Tattoo Set or the Curse of Sunken Sorrow. I'll never get the Gold Curse because I don't really care for it all that much and it's too much work for me to do solo (I might go for Curse of the Order, though. That fits my character's aesthetic pretty well).
Since the arena achievements are legacy on Xbox instead of hidden, I’ll never be 100% achievements according to that, but I’ve done all of them outside of the legacy ones.
For commendations, I’ll never be 100% now that they added the 2 new factions. PvP in this game isn’t really my grind. I did what I needed to unlock the cosmetics I wanted from the new factions(minus one, as it is tied to sinking 500 ships after getting the curse. So no starfish eyepatch for me sadge). So I won’t be touching those anymore.
And I doubt I’ll ever get 5 shrouded ghosts………. 😂 (I don’t even have 1 yet) so the only thing I have left is generous gifts as I’ve never played during the holiday time when they would give out the gifts voyage and I wasn’t playing when they were introduced. So all gifts have been from skeleton forts and small island captains for me. And I don’t have the best RNG luck there for some reason.
So to recap I’m currently: 100% on achievable achievements. 99.6% on commendations if excluding PvP mode.
