@amazingjables
@n0soup4u just because a portion of players “can’t do” something in the game or “don’t have” a specific skill, doesn’t mean that Rare should punish those who have taken the time to hone that skill. I don’t think they should ever “force” a player to use a sword. It’s an open world sandbox game and it has been since conception. Just accept that people are better than you at Sea of Thieves and try to enjoy yourself anyway. Maybe try to improve at the things you’re not good at. Forcing people to play the way you want them to is not the answer and a really good way to kill off a significant portion of the community.
This is yet again an assumption of multiple statements.
- Any game has rules yes/no? Rules are guidelines in which to play, and how to play. Play by the rules or don't play by the rules. Rules are broken, in most cases many things can happen. Some cases a broken rule could later be allowed. Non the less the rule is upheld, and the rule violator addressed. I know a lot of people are visual learners. So, imagine if you would any game and alter the balance to just one side.
EX: US Football Jaguars, Cowboys, and Chiefs get an additional down so 5 instead of 4 well because why not they want play that way. Well, the rest of the NFL teams still only get 4 downs. If you don't let them play that way well their going to not play in the NFL.
Definition of Exploit and skill to make it clear so we can help those of you out with that Assumption an exploit is somehow skill.
Definition of Exploit:
In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitch, or use elements of a game system in a manner not intended by the game's designers, in a way that gives a substantial unfair advantage to players using it.
Definition of skill:
Having or showing the knowledge, ability, or training to perform a certain activity or task well.
Skilled Exploit player would be a person who is knowledgeable, ability, or training to perform the use of a bug or glitch or use elements of a game system in a manner not intended by the game's designers, in a way that gives a substantial unfair advantage to players using it. In short, a cheater unless it has been publicly acknowledged by the developers of Sea of Thieves thus making it part of the game.
On 13 March 2023 there still has not been any such acknowledgment of any known exploit other than the Sword Lunge. In which I, say to you they swiftly made it known Sword Lunge was part of the game.
