My game chat does not seem to work. People can’t hear me and I can’t hear them. There is nothing wrong with my headset because party chat works perfectly. And this is exclusively an issue for SOT as game chat on other games works. I do NOT have other crews muted and all my settings have been double checked. I have tried setting the audio output to both speaker and headset with no luck.

Check your privacy settings for your xbox live and Microsoft profiles.
Also if you have a child account, you can't use the game chat.
@personalc0ffee ive looked them over multiple times. game chat works in other games. just played MW2 with no issues. could talk and hear people in game chat.

i dont believe this would be the case. the only setting i can find that would prevent game chat would impact it for all games. but if you have a specific setting you think i should check that would be cause only SOT game chat to be impacted let me know.@uglybabypenguin said in Xbox Game chat not working!:

I know, at least here on PC sometimes when you get server merged it breaks the modes and you have to swap it.
As an example if you have it set to toggle and server merge, you can't use toggle on that server and have to use one of the other two modes.
It is an annoying bug.
So it is that or the privacy settings as my best guesses. That or your mic is muted. Since you're only on console, you're not going to run into the issue of SoT trying to use another device as a mic.
