Lag spikes

  • For the past few weeks I have been having really bad lag spikes.. my ping never rises. The issue occurred the other day after i performed a factory reset on my pc. It has made the game unplayable. When i try running to cannons from helm it teleports me back 90 percent of them time. I have spent 20 plus hours trying to fix this issue, any advice?

  • I have been having this same problem and can’t figure it out. It doesn’t do it on my Xbox series X but as soon as I switch to PC it happens again. Not sure what’s causing it

  • If you have done a factory reset, all your drivers would have been restored to their original version, did you remember to update them all?

    1. Have you updated your monitor settings to match the FPS/frame rate/ hertz of what it can support. (Windows: Advanced display settings, at the bottom)
I have a monitor that supports 170 hertz, after a PC reset, it was locked on 60fps which I didn't change, making me teleport forward/backward constantly as if it was a network issue when in reality it wasn't.

    2. as Zig Zag stated, after a factory reset, make sure your GPU drivers are up to date. Also care to share what specs you are running?

    3. Open task manager with the game open, head over to ''details'' in task manager, look for the SoT game and right click - Set priority - (select) 'High'
For me this mitigates game crashes randomly saying my GPU drivers are not up to date (Even when they are). Setting SoT to high priority, means more focus is put onto your game regarding your PCs tasks. Having it set to normal, means you can experience random lag/freezes/crashes.

    4. If you can record footage and post it on streamable and provide a link, that would also help to really see the issue in game.
