Another FOV Post - Please increase the max FOV

    This 90 degree FOV is simply too low.

    Saying "competitive edge" is one of the worst excuses I've ever heard.

    Are these games not competitive?

    • Call of Duty
    • Halo Infinite
    • F1 22
    • Hunt Showdown
    • PUBG
    • Fortnite
    • Rainbow Six Siege
    • Titanfall
    • Apex Legends
    • Battlefield

    Thousands of games support a higher FOV, because it's preference, not competitive edge. Sea of Thieves isn't even competitive.

    It may seem like good immersion that I become sea sick from the pirate game, but it's just absolutely horrible.

    It's a basic feature, get a grip.

    I don’t see SoT as one so don’t compare it to those AAA first person shooters game titles.

    You don’t need to see the corners of your ship while at the wheel

    I also don't see it as competitive. But that's their reasoning for the low FOV.

    The FOV modification for Steam players was never intentional and has been removed in order to restore the intended settings of Sea of Thieves.

    The game is designed for 90 FoV Maximum, anything beyond that looks distorted and broken.

    There are no intentions to change this in future.
