Greetings pirates, today I've logged into the game and found out that I can see the 'Boreal Aurora' ship set, which I had from the Plunder Pass, present in the Emporium for anyone to buy. Did I miss a change that made Plunder Pass items not exclusive?

pretty sure plunder pass was always intended to be the better deal and quicker access, not exclusive items
Plunder Pass items were never exclusive. You could get early access to Emporium items.

You're welcome. I also at first thought that they would work like the Fortnite Battle Pass, for example, where the items are exclusive to promote Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) and to drive Battle Pass purchases.

Personally, I prefer the SoT way of doing things.Even if I am a PvE player at heart.... Shhh! Don't tell the other homicidal sociopaths. lol
They stated well before even season 1 that anything in the season and plunder pass could return EXCEPT items that were named after the season. So with that standard that means the cursed bone set this season, or courage of captaincy set last season are the only items from the last 2 seasons that wont return.

Not quite actually. The clothing could very well return. What is exclusive is the season themed items (Sail, Flag, Tattoo, scar, facepaint, and titles).

Clothing will not return if it is directly named after the season based on the standard that rare said. Anything not named or themed after the season it is from can return still, so all clothing or items not named after the season can come back, but cursed bone and courage of captaincy will very likely not return unless rare changes their mind.
@tejros the plunder pass ship sets have never been exclusive. They are early release, gotten at a discount cost, to those who invest in the plunder pass.
