Ok so it's been an annoyance for years that the Controller Secondary Interact input is permanently bound to the same keybind as Weapon Change.
Now, however, it has actually become a game-breaking disadvantage to play on controller.
Now that your partners have really started to popularize the storage crate meta (you know which meta I'm talking about), it has made deck fighting against metagaming PC players more challenging.
Between the meta crate walls, the meta crate anchor muffins, and players generally having storage crates everywhere because why not we have a million of them now, it has really exposed how poorly designed it is to have weapon change be the same key bind as secondary interact.
Honestly, I'm fine with the creative uses people have found for the storage crates, but when it becomes an actual disadvantage because you can't swap weapons on their ship, that's a real issue.
The other option would be to force it to be the same keybind on KBM as well... it'd kill the meta and put everyone at least on the same playing field... I'd say stay away from that as an option, but if you for whatever can't figure out how to decouple those two inputs for controller, then at least level the playing field the other way.
This fix is long overdue...but it's quickly becoming an actual game-breaking problem as the meta spreads.
