Why is my Ui bugged when I'm on a purchased ship.

Has anyone else had the issues of all UI just being broken when your trying to play on either a ship you purchased or a friend's? Because ever since i purchased and ship and went through the unneeded tutorial I noticed that 90% of the UI isn't there. I can still do everything with it. But it is visually not there. I've tried to fix it but it doesn't work. only happens when I join a crew on my ship that I purchased or any ship that a friend has purchased, but yet it doesn't happen when I'm on a normal ship. What do I do now?
