So I watched the stream and was in the Tavern for the decorating. Got a note about the orb, but I guess I don't understand. Is this an item we can obtain?

@foambreaker If you can find one of the hidden Reaper birds, you get the orb in game.
If you watch the official Sea of Thieves stream, it will eventually raid another streamer and you can get a random twitch drop by watching that streamer for 20 mins or so.
In the Sea of Thieves, the Reaper Parrot for the Orb Lantern will appear in one of several possible locations at any given time.
Some people are trying to keep tabs on where the bird currently is, so unless you think it's fun to sail around and search every single square inch of the entire game world looking for a tiny bird, you might want to do an internet search to see if anyone knows its current location before looking for it.
