Credit where it's due: the new Golden Sands is exactly what a pirate town should look like

  • Although I wish it was a bit more lively, I could not be happier with the reimagining of this town. While the original Golden Sands was my favorite outpost, and I am in some ways sad to see it go, a proper pirate fort town is exactly what this game needed. It could use a bit more music and more NPCs to make it seem more vibrant, but the bones here are just about perfect.

Is it going to get even larger, too? It seems unfinshed outside the core.

It's awesome. I love it. Couldn't find the entrance to the Legend area tho 😅 It does seem like there are additional areas that could be added.

The negative: cards on several tables. Please don't add minigames...there is plenty to do when sailing.

  • Outpost looks very nice. But Sea Dogs Tavern was already sitting there waiting to be used.....

I have a theory that Flameheart will take back the Sea Dogs Tavern peak and return it to being a skeleton lord bastion.

If they were to ever bring back the ability to go inside the Sea Dogs Tavern, they'd probably have to have entry be done in a similar manner to the Athena's Fortune since it's unlikely that the interior of the Sea Dogs Tavern was actually designed to fit inside the exterior.

That or redesign the place a bit so they can have the interior fit the exterior seamlessly.
