Rejoin Session Solo from Inactivity

  • Activities in this game tend to stretch too long to justify a 10 minute kick for inactivity as a solo player, with no way to rejoin the session.

In a crew, it's a whole other thing. When someone goes afk, it ruins the fun for the rest of the party. If playing with friends, you can always rejoin that session.

People have lives though, things happen around you and sometimes you need to take a call in the middle of a game session. To then come back and have lost everything you did the last 2 hours is very discouraging. I can't always play with my friends because of mismatching schedules, so I often have to play solo.

It would've been a great help to increase the time of inactivity for solo players, or at least giving them a 5-10 minute window to rejoin that session.

  • @wulftor if you need a more than 10 min afk. Sell and end your session.

  • @captain-coel Selling takes time, on top of the time to get there.

  • Yes and no.
I wouldn't mind it being a thing. But if you're going to be 10+ minutes sell. You know your responsibilities outside of the game. (Bedtime for me lol) Emergencies are tricky, but they're emergencies and need dealing with, game doots should be the last thing on your mind in a true emergency...

  • @wulftor Then plan accordingly. Afkers shouldnt get to hold spots from people who want to be on the servers.

I’ve heard this so many times. What you said is true but you are the one at fault. Not a video game.
If someone or something calls you and you don’t know how long it gonna take? Log off.

The game doesn’t have a pause button. This seems to be the problem with gamers today. A lot of new games aren’t offfering a pause to games, it may seem like it but some games have everything still running in background

If your gonna be busy, get off the game. Go finish your food, clean room, call your family and take care of the baby. It just a video game after all not the end.

  • The issue is that it interferes with others and the activity of the server.

Servers thrive on random activity, afking isn't random activity it's no activity.

Bumping inactivity to create opportunity for activity is necessary and makes sense.

None of us are owed 15 or 20 minutes of inactivity in a shared gaming environment with only 5 ships per server. It's just the way it is. We all gotta make some space sometime while we handle our personal business.
