Remove sword stun-lock

  • The most ridiculous thing in this game quite frankly - swords have a completely broken hit-radius and the stun-lock means that when you get hit once you're likely gonna get hit 3 times, it's sheer nonsensical. The sword really needs to be rebalanced, or at least fixed so that you're not taking damage when the opponents sword is at least a foot or two away from you and still doing damage.

    I'm an xbox controller player who mainly runs sword + blunder or EoR - you don't have to be a double-gunner to see how broken something is. The double-gunning animation cancelling is broken too, but that's for a different thread.

  • It’s broken, but so is the rest of PvP. We don’t know how it’s truly supposed to behave because of server issues, making it more broken than it should be.

  • @goofythescot it should still stop you from attacking just not moving.

  • If the sword didn't stun, it would be an entirely useless weapon. You'd be able to run right through it and get out of range.

    Being out of range doesn't seem to stop it from making contact anyway.

    Yeah, that's a desync problem. But if desync isn't going away, apparently ever, I'm all for symptomatic solutions.

    Idk if it's just because I hadn't played much in S7, so I didn't notice, or if hitreg got even worse in S8, but these 1v1s have been hilarious.

  • @goofythescot as an avid sword user, IT IS BROKEN. I hate the sword suck and the lock. You CANNOT get out of it. Just nerf it a smidge please 😁
