Game movement constantly locking up (PC, Win10)

    I am so mad right now. I played the game yesterday, and go through a bunch of stuff and apparently NONE of the tutorial progress actually saves anything, but it was quick to get back to where I was at.

    Anyway, long story short, ever since I got this game (only 2nd day playing) I am CONSTANTLY having movement lockups. As in I will have to press F to do something, and the entire game locks up and I can't move or do anything until I hit ESCAPE and then sometimes it lets me out. I'm not playing with a gamepad (is that the problem)? I'm just using a keyboard, but these lockups make the game completely useless. It's frustrating, and now I feel like I have wasted my money.

    FYI, this isn't specific to any particular activity, it's basically happening throughout the game doing anything more often than not. Game was downloaded via Steam.

    I haven't heard of any bugs causing this and the problem description is kind of vague. Is this a framerate drop / hardward issue?

    Are you using F to interact with something on your ship and then unable to get off of that thing, or does this happen when picking up loot (chests, skulls, etc). If you are just getting stuck on interactables, press F again to release.

    This could be caused by multiple reasons.
    Please make sure you have display of FPS & ping enabled to verify, it is not actually a network issue.
    Make sure no download is running during your play.
    Check you system performance, especially CPU, GPU, RAM (avoid swapping on HD) to verify it is not a performance issue.
    Make sure firewall/antivirus is not blocking some of the game network traffic.
