Here is a post to share a few thoughts i been having recently with the game.
Variety:
With the new enemies who came on Season Three (Phantoms, Sirens and Ocean Crawlers), even though they are really cool and with some mechanics, they still lack the variety that Skeletons have (Normal, Gold, Shadow and Plant), which always add a cool change in the pace of the battle.
Maybe a fire phantom who leaves fire behind when uses dash, or some Ocean Crawler who needs to be taken out of the water to be able to kill. Or a siren who requires a specific song to be able to deal damage to him.
Because of that, in my opinion, new content, like the Sunken Kingdom and Fortress they felt too repetitive so easily. If we had some variety of those enemies would be great.
Emerging Threats:
Another topic that bothers me in the recent Sea of Thieves updates, is the lack of Emerging Threats, like Skeleton ships and Megalodons.
I would really like to see some new emerging threats, some even i think could be taken from the Tall Tales. Like:
Phantom raiding: you are adventuring on a island, suddenly a bell start ringing, and on the shores of the island, it appears a ghost ship standing still and shooting cannons at the island while phantoms appears, you would need to take down the phantoms, and use ghost cannons (Like the ones on the first adventure) to take down the ghost ship. We have even some island already prepared for that, like the shores of Old Faithful and Cannon Cove. Similar to what happens on the Third Tall Tale of Pirates Life.
Siren Domain: an area on the Sea where it start to spawn sirens on the hull of your ship, damaging the hull, while Ocean Crawlers jump on your ship, that way, you would have to deal with the Ocean Crawler, while being on the edge of your ship shooting down the sires to get them away. Like what happens on the Pirate Life trailer.
And last but not least, i know this isn't the the post for that, but since we are in the feedback category here it go:
Rare, please focus on making the game more smooth and glitchless instead of content. I see no point on adding new structures or enemies if they don't work properly.
Besides that, keep up with the good work Rare team.
