Encountering the legendary Shrouded Ghost is a big deal, but it doesn't feel that epic, like it should. Here are 4 little features that could be added to make the experience even more special than it is now.
-
Before it spawns, play the "Summon the Megalodon" shanty like it was played in the Hungering Deep trailer - a faint, almost ghostly version (get it?) of the original shanty. This would be played before the meg spawns, or the meg could be circling the boat, its dorsal fin only poking out. One or the other.
-
When the Shrouded Ghost spawns, the epic version of "Summon the Megalodon" starts playing. You know, the one that plays during the Shrouded Deep? There would be no sound affect other than the meg groaning or something when a cannonball hits it, either.
-
When the Shrouded Ghost spawns (sticks its head out of the water), a banner pops up, just like an island banner. This would be for all the other megalodon variants, too, and it could be toggled on or off in Settings.
-
When the Shrouded Ghost is defeated, the sound that plays when you finish the Hungering Deep campaign plays, except much louder. Also, it would be slightly edited to last a bit longer. You can hear the sound effect in the Hungering Deep trailer too.
Well, that's all from me. I don't think this would happen (I think it'd be a nightmare for the music director) but it would be cool.
