People are saying a tier 3 hole will forever remain a tier 3 hole unless you pay to restore the ship. I was always under the assumption that repairing with a plank completely removed the tier of hole..
Am i wrong? This would mean restoring your ship is nearly mandatory before starting a new session.
@sudsierboar5526 you are correct, patching a hole does not retain its tier status.
the restore ship option only is cosmetic and holds no bearing on the mechanics behind hole tiers

Depending on ship type...I had to pay about 12-13k to repair the galleon
