id love to see them come back someway or another or atleast a "keg rowboat" of some form. reaper rowboat could just be found at the reapers hideout or you talk to the servant once youve hit grade 5 and claim a rowboat that spawns close to your boat

@wolfmanbush exactly they were good fun for both players, they can be used against you and other players which imo makes them a really good risk/reward thing since if you did sneak up on someone with this youd do some major damage and maybe even sink them

I docked one on a brig in the middle of a fight and detonated it but it didn't really do anything against them.
Then again it might have been a dud because recently my crew hit a galley with 2 Athena kegs within 5 seconds of eachother and those barely did anything either.

Honestly, if there was an option to bury kegs without them becoming traps I think we'd use them a lot. Personally I'd bury along beaches spread over a few islands. If we're being chased we could have someone try and quicky dig one up and find a way to get a ship to run over it.
