When there are a group of people sailing together, each person could want to be working on leveling their own ship. This can lead to issues as each crew member takes terns sailing and leveling their own ships.
It would be nice if crew members could go to a Captained crew's log book, and then register a matching captained ship of their own into the log book. This way, as time is spent doing quests and leveling the captained ship that they are a crew member on, a fraction of the reputation gained from time spent also gets to go to their own ship that they had registered as being 'allied' into the log.
This could help with crew members wanting to work on their own ship, but spending a predominant amount of time sailing on and helping with leveling the ships of other players. Time spent can count not only to the ship that they are sailing on, but also to their own ship that they had registered to be allied. This could encourage players to sail more on other ships while not worrying about not getting enough time to level their own ship, or having difficulty finding people willing to sail as crew on their ship when the other players have captained ships of their own that they want to spend time working on.
