Clown Set
I don't have a problem with it. It's gonna be used for all sorts of shenanigans but I don't think that's much of a reason to say no, by itself it's not inherently disrespectful or trolley, not any more than some of the silly costumes that already exist. People already make their own clown costumes now.
I would have an option for others to replace it though for people that struggle to be around clowns. In intense combat I can imagine it would be overly unpleasant to be around that.

Actually I love this idea, and it should be set up that if you type "Its a PIRATE game" into this site, discord or twitter you are forced to wear the clown set for a week.
