Athena loot cloning exploit. the heck rare, how did this go unnoticed?

  • i should mention, after finding this i did not take further advantage of this, this post is meant to make a dev aware. so i was casually playing doing veil of the ancients, and i need one more haunted island. so i was trying to get it, but i kept getting the same shipwreck quest "The ship went down South east of wanderers refuge" i should note that i was doing this thru captains voyages, so i could cancel and replace multiple of them. after realizing that it wasnt gonna give me the quest i wanted i decided to sail to the shipwreck and just do it. but when i got there, all the loot from the previous voyages i had canceled, had floated up rather then despawning. the chests that normally would contain the veil stones did not float up, but they did not despawn either they were just floating in place. they did not have the stone it them but they still had 2 athenas trinkets.i only canclled it about 3 times before i gave up, but imagine someone canceled a full 50 of these and had a BUTT ton of gold trinkets, athenas trinkets, skulls etc. i stand by my saying, that insider does not work in its current state, cuz stuff like this gets by.

  • Obviously, maybe it was just coincidence that i got that same quest 4 times in a row, MAYBE, and obviously it needs you to have the shipwreck as the first part of the veil voyage. but if this can be cheesed hard, then the heck. like imagine someone stacking a full captaincy voyage inventory of these. im hesitant to try and recreate this because i dont want to get banned.

  • Maybe instead of explaining this in public…you post a support ticket in private.

This just makes people wanna do it now until it’s fixed

  • @burnbacon ive posted a ticket before, it never gets things like this fixed.

  • @sgt-w0lfe Best place to report this is as a bug via a support ticket.

Be sure to be as descriptive and give as much info as possible.

    Thank you.
