Been playing brig lately with friends and we've sunk two different skeleton sloops that have not yielded any loot. Before you ask, yes it fully sunk and did not just run away, as we got credit for our emissary, but no loot popped up. One time my friend was on the sloop, so it's not like we couldn't locate it. The second time I could see where the ship sunk based on the ammo bags in the water but we waited for 5 mins and nothing popped up. Anyone else having trouble getting loot from skele ships since the update?
Skeleton Sloop No Loot?
have been doing lots of OOS and sinking skelly ships and I too encountered a skelly sloop today which did not drop any loot after it sunk. I stayed there for a bit more than 5 minutes but there was nothing.
apart from that, I have been encountering TONS of birds in the sky with neither any barrells in the water nor any shipwrecks. easily 1 or 2 out of 5. annoying when trying to get that sweet barnacle ship.
It's a thing that happens but not a common thing that happens
I have 1 outta 75 since the update and I've gone hundreds without it in the past.
Some servers are just really poor performing these days, like real bad and the pve suffers with a lack of consistency due to it
I wouldn't worry too much, if you get on a server that is having issues try a new one so you don't get stuck with multiple incidents of loot having issues.
@mightypotato839 Yeah, it is a bit annoying. It's just a bit suspicious since it's happened more times since the update than ever before. We've also noticed the birds thing as well, literally just happened to us in fact.
@wolfmanbush That's fair, maybe just a bit more noticeable than usual since it happened to us almost back to back. We've never had it happen to us before the update but we aren't exactly religious players so it could be a law of large numbers thing. Good idea with hopping servers if it happens again.
sometimes, loot floats off, so you may have pinpointed the sunken vessel precisely but the loot appears further away from the sink place.That combined with the low profile of the Sloop and the sometimes high dancing waves of the Sea makes that the treasure can be taken away from eyeside...Climbing in the crowsnest may solve this problem.

Same here, almost. I saw the birds, saw loot in the water, stopped my sloop, jumped off, got to the loot and it just disappeared, looked up and the birds were gone.
