My crew wound up buying two galleons between the usual players and we decided we needed only one. After some online digging I was assured that if I dismantled my galleon I would be refunded and only lose milestone and customization, etc as the option says. Do NOT believe any reddit posts about this, they are trolling. You will just be wasting 500k outright. Yes I know I'm an idiot. I accept that.
Dismantling is NOT a refund.

@ninja-naranja I should really hop on there. It was one of my crewmates who said they read that it was safe to "sell" your ship. Pretty sure he said it was on reddit but not sure. Either way, good advice to always trust the more official channels.
Dude. On the dismantle description it says you lose your gold.
