As the title says. Will I be able to delete ship just like our pirate OR will I need to delete pirate to delete it's ships?
For those that will certainly ask "But why would you want to delete ship?" instead of actually answering the question, short answer for you: "Roleplay".

As far as I know, there won’t be any reason to delete a bought ship. You‘ll be able to buy one or even more default versions of each ship and then you can customise them the way you want to. The looks of your ship can be changed anytime if you are willing to put in some money. As the default version is also an option of customisation, you‘ll always be able to switch back to default.
Don’t know about changing the name though. I guess you‘ll have to buy something similar to the pirate potion at the emporium if you want to change it.
The thing is not the customization per say, is to relive the "bought a ship" feeling, you know? for example, you can dress like a day 1 pirate but you will never get the "Is good to see a new face here" dialogue and something like that.
I mean there is obviously no problem at all if deleting a ship is/will not be a feature, just wanted to confirm it :)

You can also just hop on the normal shared experience ships as you have always done... you arent locked into sailing on captained ships going forward.
@arthuring you can delete a purchased ship, i dont see why you would thoug because after your ship has achieved legendary status you can buy a second one of the same type.

I personally would love to be able to delete ships at will because Captaincy doesn't have any appeal to me unless I treat it like a permadeath experience. Basically, I think it would be fun to see how close I can get to ranking the ship up fully without sinking.
