General Question

  • I can just go to any old underwater fort/shrine, whatever, anyways, without one of those blue message bottles, so why do we need them? What are they for and what do they do?

it's an item and one related to commendations

    it's also valuable

like gems, you get a blue, green, or red one, they are determined randomly

I'd recommend doing the flooded embrace ones whenever possible as it's literally just swimming straight to the bottom to get it.

you can sell them to any faction other than athena and it gets a bonus from emissary flags like any other item for that faction, it also counts for the commendation for all factions that you can sell it to.

  • Fun fact: the treasure you put in a mermaid can't be stolen until you collect it on the surface. You can also portal hop, go back to the shrine/treasury you were at and collect it on a whole different server. You do however have to add 1 more item, so don't fill all 20 spaces.

You can also put other loot items in it and do the hop. (Doesn't work on flags, I tried)

  • Yeah, uh, nobody answered my question. Why do we need the blue bottles that tell us what shrine to goto? We can goto them anyways without finding a bottle.

My question is, what do the blue message bottles with coral on them that you find on beaches do? What are they for?

  • @admiralcorporal The first reply in this thread was an answer to your question.

There's a loot item called "Breath of the Sea." They only spawn in the shrines/treasuries when you find their voyages in those blue bottles.

You can still enter & raid the shrines/treasuries without the voyages. But you won't find the Breath of the Sea.

  • @theblackbellamy I didn't get that, thank you.
