Healthbar Percentage

    I'd like to bring up the idea of adding a percentage to the health bar. This allows players to know exactly how much health they have when they've taken damage. Sometimes it can be difficult to know how much health one has by just looking at a bar.

  • The one objection I can see is "wah it goes against the minimal HUD".

    Possible solution - add lines at the 25,55,70 mark on the bar instead? Would prefer a percentage ofc, but it's better than nothing if a percentage is not possible.

    Not with the way players fight against npc or other players.
    It just numbers, even someone on verge of death can still win a fight by standing still.

    And this is exactly why I'd vote against it. No need to add another bit of metagamer info.

  • Let's get boss health bars and health bars over everyone's (including skellies and pigs) head too while we're at it.

    • I don’t think it is very necessary in a game like this but if it is optional, i am not against it.
    • In certain MMO like ESO it is essential to know exactly where you’re at because you can take many hits before even getting close to dying and you have other ressources like stam and magic to monitor as well.
    • In SoT, as soon as you get it once with pretty much any weapon, its better to heal fast because the next shot can likely be your last.
    • However like I said, I am not against it if some people find it useful. As long as we can disable it in the settings.

    Green isn't always fine. The point is to know if you're one shot away from death. You can't always tell that in the heat of moment or in casual gameplay by just looking at a bar.
    It'll also help with food management and knowing what to eat when fighting. It's not difficult, it would simply just be nice to have. Even if it was a toggle feature.

  • Would be cool if the bar was a little different but its fine with me.
