Its been awhile since ive been here, but im surprised there is still no 120 FOV. This used to be the most controversial topic and im quite sad to see it hasnt been implemented into the game and caused for the majority of the PVP community to die out. Anyway im just gonna talk about how 120 FOV would help a lot of people with vision issues. I myself never changed the files of the game to get 120 FOV, but man do i wish i did as it just made the game feel so much more crisp and look better. Now for my first point, I and a lot of other people have issues with a cap of 90 FOV, this is not because we want to be able to see more, but rather that i get extreme headaches which limits me from playing for around 1.5 hours at a time (this is the main reason I quit, as i was getting such bad headaches because of the FOV, in other games which had higher FOV i was fine, also a note to this, I was NOT dehydrated or anything to cause it, it was solely from playing at this low FOV). I know that it will almost never reach this game but i truly hope Rare could at least cap it at 100 or even 110 (I understand 120 can be quite much for it and can cause for there to be weird animations). Along with this, 120 FOV is still possible at the expense of a high end stretched monitor, but I as many people cannot afford one. Rare is not taking away 120 FOV, but rather making it only accessible to people with a lot of money. I hope this reaches a lot of people and the community could come together to possibly make this game better for some people ;)
120 FOV
Majority of PvP players did not die out because of the capped 90 FOV, that’s rubbish. The game isn’t designed for 120, though. Surely you’ve seen how it looks, right? It’s not nice.
I understand that you and others suffer headaches and those sorts of things from motion sickness (and similar things) and I have no doubt Rare knows this. They want to include everyone, they said it themselves. However, the time for more FOV is not yet.
As much as I would appreciate a bigger slider, it’s not coming and that decision is not being changed in the near future.
