Skeleton crew

  • I’ve had some bad experiences with online crews in the past, so now I mostly solo sloop.
But I think there should be a way to have a crew, but not have to deal with an online one, so for this I suggest the skeleton crew. It would be a crew made up of skeletons like the ones one the islands. They would be a bit tougher than normal skeletons, maybe like a skeleton captain,
And they would react to what basic commands are given to them. For this players using a skeleton crew would have an extra category of speech called ‘commands’ which were basically simple orders for your crew. Ex. Fire the cannons; they would fire at the nearest ship, Hold your fire; for if you hoped for an alliance or wanted to avoid conflict, Relax; if you were on course to your destination they could play a song or dance and so on. They could also be a help with solo voyages, offering protection from monsters, although like players they could die and would respawn within a time period. In conclusion they could be a substitute for a player crew, and would help avoid arguments over which trading company to represent and such. This is a very rough idea so some constructive criticism would be nice or something you like the sound of, something you would change, something to keep, and so on.

Few of us decent players are. Go on...

But I think there should be a way to have a crew

But you just had a bad experience

but not have to deal with an online one,

    I see...

I suggest the skeleton crew. It would be a crew made up of skeletons like the ones one the islands.

Problem with that is, Lore standards, skeletons are bad and cursed. They attack us normal living because of "reasons"
why would they join a fleshlings crew when they have there own ship?

They could also be a help with solo voyages, offering protection from monsters, although like players they could die and would respawn within a time period.

You like many, have chosen Solo Sloop. Which is basic terms = Hard Mode. It best to deal with this idea, since you chose to go solo and not need a crew but yourself.

In conclusion they could be a substitute for a player crew, and would help avoid arguments over which trading company to represent and such.

But that the charm of having a crew. Arguments and dealing with results. Respect is given not earned. if you disagree..leave the crew and make your own or find a new one. Find a group who is willing to agree with what is happening.
I can safely say, most people who max everything out are your best choice because they dont care what you wanna do. Just earn gold.

  • I will bet you had bad experience with an open crew. Instead of dreaming about a fake skelly crew, try looking for a crew on discord. You can state your intent and what kind of player you want before starting a game. You will have a much better experience than open crew.
