Can anyone give me some tips to find out why my LAPTOP is slowing down with games such as SoT?? I used to be able to play SoT with the highest settings and 0 lag. But now it randomly lags when there's a lot of movement (Like, the video stutters/freezes for moments). REGARDLESS of video settings (Tested it with everything in mythical, and then everything in cursed, 30fps, no anti-aliasing) and it seems to have 0 effect on the random little slowdowns. Both settings work overall the same except for those random little stutters.
- I just formatted the computer thinking it would fix it. It didnt. (Playing with barely anything else installed/running)
- I cleaned vents, changed thermal paste of processor.
Computer specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz
16.0 GB RAM
Game and windows installed in SSD.
GeForce GTX 1060
...I cant even play fortnite without slowdowns.
And as I said, I used to be able to play those and other games without slowdowns, but for a while now I get them in almost any game.
I am suspecting maybe my SSD, one/both ram memory sticks, or the video card could be experimenting some issue. But I have no idea how to track/test which (if thats the issue at all). Since I do not like...have spare parts to just test X)
