Lost Sands Outcome Option #3

  • I see a lot of talk about #SaveGoldenSands and #RuinGoldenSands - but what if the stalemate continues.

Is this a valid outcome? And why shouldn't it be?

Admittedly, it is the least obvious outcome from all of this, but there hasn't been word - to my knowledge, at least- of the stalemate being a possible outcome at all, and as such I'd like to gather peoples' opinions and thoughts on it.

Would you want to see what happens to Golden Sands if it continues how it is right now? Maybe the shrouded mist expands - who knows right?

Also, from here on, unless I get told it isn't a possible outcome, I'm team #MaintainGoldenSands

  • @thornbush42 I think Rare already stated there is no tie, so no matter how small the difference one side is going to win.

I go searching now...as far as I know it has been stated, that this would be a possible end...

  • @d3adst1ck If you can point me in the direction of where this was said it would be most appreciated. If this is the case, can you or anyone else explain why there's a stalemate phase and what purpose it serves?

I got nothing for you as far as officially being no tie. I can tell you Rare isn't going by percentage but by a point system none of us are seeing. The likelihood of the two lining up for a tie is very unlikely.

The reason it shows "stalemate" is the graphic doesn't move with enough granularity. Stalemate just means any % that is less then 10% spread. When it was 55+% Reaper, it showed as Merrick losing.

  • If you're in the official discord, this link should take you to a comment by j0toro that says they are tracking it by decimal points so unlikely to be a tie.

It would need to be bang on 50.000000000% (to however many decimals they want to use) to force a tie which is pretty unlikely.
