Anti-Cheat

I have seen much shady the last 1.5 year of this game, atleast alot i can think have been using atleast an ESP.
Increased of people knowing where i am at all time.
Dont think cheating was a big problem back in the day from what ive been told but last 2 years ish its been a problem.

Good stereo headphones and the right sound settings. If Tarkov and War Thunder ground RB has taught me anything, is that when you have your sound set up right and the game has decent sound development, echolocation is just as strong as someone you think is using ESP.

Were you splashing and sprint swimming around before grabbing that ladder? Do you sprint around with boots on? Do you wear glowy cosmetics when you should be picking dark or dull colored clothes? Did you know that right before you spawn back on your ship, the ship glitches a bit as it syncs between clients, signaling the camper that you are about to appear? It might be a you issue and less of a cheat issue.

I feel like the best anti-cheat they could actually do would be to limit the number of accounts someone can have tied to a single game license. Maybe a cap of 4 or 5. As they get banned and run out of licenses for alt accounts, they'd either have to buy a new copy of the game, or move onto the next game to cheat at.

Sure that would impact household with like 6+ kids...but...idk how much of the playerbase is households with 6+ kids all into SOT.

Are we sure that a shared account that gets a ban doesn't impact the main account? If not, it should. Ban on sub-account = ban on main account and no ability to share IMO. Then you don't need an account cap at all.

  • @d3adst1ck It most definitely does not. I won't call out any specific streamers but there's several that almost exclusively play on alt accounts. As those alts get banned for "ban evasion", they just create another one and continue playing. I can assure you they are not purchasing fresh copies of the game to do it, either.

Xbox accounts get banned, people unlink the banned account and link a fresh free xbox account. The product ID does not get banned. This is definitely happening from a few toxic people I have encountered so I am sure it goes for cheating bans as well.

  • @scurvywoof Europe, it's literally tragic what's happening here. You can dive 100 meters, they will always hit you with their eye of reach and flintlock in under two seconds, you don't even have time to realise that just happened, i saw that when I saved the last 10 minutes using shadowplay.

  • @xellonvm I see your point. This video is from 2021, but I think it is in EU servers. I remember people like Captain Falcore going on rants on these types of videos telling people that they should not be supporting them. Thank God they've died down
