@tommy Yea, you kind of get the feeling that this whole event was already thought out and isn't the choice it's made out to be. The sheer vagueness of how things are counted, what's counted, and the mechanism to get it to count was never clearly explained. As I, and many others understood, you had to keep starting/repeating and completing the adventure for it to count. Upon asking, it seems once you have completed one, or both, sides. You simply need to either destroy rowboats on an island where they are found for Merrick (which, if true, is easily done by shooting off to passing islands, lighting the fuse, and mermaiding back to the next), and Reaper's only need to pick-up/row an emergent rowboat and detonate it on golden sands with the only theoretical caveat being you cannot cross the island threshold with the rowboat still attached, you must row it in. And that's the thing, we don't know. Players are making their own rules and Rare isn't giving all of the information needed if this was truly a player decided outcome.
There is mention of being able to turn in food and wood crates, but there is still no mention of if they need to be full for merrick, or can they be empty like the reaper will accept?
All that being said, I don't think it matters what either side does. This was already decided ages ago.
