We got the adventure from Larrina and travelled to Belle and Merrick. Once there it would not give us the option to continue the adventure even after saying we completed Chapter One. Is this a glitch? How do we continue on to fight the Megs?
Shrouded Deep Glitch
I got this too - the adventure was bugged the whole way through. At the end, it said the summoned Shrouded Meg escaped and we failed. Took so long to gather the souls and it didn’t even register that we summoned the Shrouded Ghost.
Sorry - should have said that somebody else on the crew could progress the dialog on the Killer Whale but I didn’t have the option.
Lol my glitch was more fruitful.
Got the adventure from Larinna, spoke to Belle, got a banner that said Chapter 3 complete and was congratulated for beating the Shrouded. Adventure complete.
I have the figurehead. None of the deeds are checked off, but I don't wear titles & I'm not much of a completionist sooo... gg ez.
@theblackbellamy I actually got that on the same run too - I got the figurehead without doing anything but when we actually started the adventure properly and summoned the shrouded it was broken and ran away.
Unfortunately, I am a total completionist so will have to do it all again and hope for better luck.

I think we are likely all borked until a hotfix of some kind.

I know that me and my crew when having the issue would go back to Larinna, and it would say to "Begin Adventure" not replay it.

I am going to try to start the adventure and then cancelling it followed by talking to Belle...

Tried it - doesn't work for me.
I did get the figurehead from Larinna though ...
Guess doing the four Megs followed by a server merge messed things up in more than one way.

Oh...didn't know...thought it doesn't matter if startet from Larinna or not
I tried to start and complete the adventure on multiple servers and days - probably about 5 or 6 times and each time I can start it but when I get to The Killer Whale I get no options to progress the adventure with Belle and Merrick. I have now completed the adventure but only because I had crew mates who could trigger the stages.
I don’t know if this is because somebody on my open crew triggered the Complete Adventure option giving me the figurehead the first time I went to The Killer Whale. What I thought was a one time quest glitch has persisted on every subsequent attempt.
@mancfoo Are you starting it at Larinna each time? Have you tried just going straight to Belle?
I completed it once, and to finish up killing the other megs I just went straight to Belle the next day.
Do you have the Shrouded Ghost deed and figurehead or the ritual deed? Maybe it's one of those things being missing that is hanging it up for everyone.
@d3adst1ck I started it at Larinna each time - I just can’t see the dialog options that allow you to continue the story. So, I don’t see any options to take an effigy for any of the Megs - it’s the same every time on different days and servers. I knew it was broken because I played on Insiders but I would be completely confused otherwise!
On the first attempt, we summoned the Meg but I didn’t get the deed for it. I have now completed the adventure by asking crew mates to select the options with Belle and all of the deeds are now ticked off so I got the title. Not tried it again to see if it is repeatable and whether it now works for me - will give it a go though.
@mancfoo I'd also try just going straight to Belle and seeing if she has different dialog when you aren't on the adventure. To get the rest of my Meg kills I just went straight there and she had REPLAY and COMPLETE.
If her dialog tree is checking for the ritual deed, and you didn't get it due to a bug, it might have broken her dialog though.
Anyone else fix this that was broken? I have tried canceling chapter one, redoing chapter one, going straight to Belle. I think what bugged me is some random crew allianced me, then did the mission and I never participated at all. So I am in some kind of limbo state of being in an alliance for the whole thing, but unable to start chapter 2.
Okay so I've been having this issue since day one of the patch and here's all the info I've gathered on it from my experience.
-Managed to start chapter one and complete it.
-Managed to kill one meg.
-When attempting to kill second meg, I stayed behind at the Killer Whale to quick deliver once my buddies finished killing it.
-Deliver second effigy, adventure bugs out and gets removed from my voyage table.
-Start over at chapter one, get to Killer Whale and adventures bugs out of voyage table again after completing chapter.
-Issue repeats ad infinitum for me and my two friends, literally anyone else that joins us can continue it except for us.So yeah, seems to be an account specific issue for some reason.
Support gave me a nothingburger response.

Okay, I managed to finish the adventure with that painful process of getting a random person to accept the effigies.
After getting all four on the table, we were actually able to play the shanty, fight the beast and afterwards Belle had the [Complete Adventure] button for everyone.
So yeah, guess only way you guys will be able to complete the adventure is by having someone else grab the effigies.@tito-filho I think we did! Once we helped another crew summon and defeat the shrouded ghost it allowed us to finally replay the adventure.
