Bots that will help fight enemies and help repare the ship. Sloop 1 bot | Brigantin 2 bots | Galion 3 bots and listen to the leader choice. Leader systeme is simple before the crew start match there vote to choice who is leader and could be changed mid game(it will have feel to have real crew)
Bots on ship and leader systeme
I think this could be implemented in a fair-ish way.
AI can only be used to fill up remaining crew slots. So a solo gets 1 AI friend on a sloop, etc.
The idea being that you can have something to help while waiting for a friend or whatever.
They can only be used for small tasks, which can be assigned using the chat wheel.
They would be:
-
Bail water
-
Restock barrels with crates
-
Move loot onto dock
-
Reload cannons
-
remove loot from harpoon
Then charge 10,000 per in-game day for it.
The idea is that they can't be an extra crewmate, but can be used for QoL to act as a crutch while waiting for a friend.

This is what happens when the majority of players are allowed to be solo. Rare pretends like there's no issues, but suggestions like this suggest otherwise. Clearly this game's difficulty is based around co-op, yet barely anyone does that, so here we are.
Barely anyone does that? Where's your proof?
I feel like 4 players is not that realistic for pirate game that why i did this suggestion do have real big grew on your ship. they won't help you for treasure they will always stay on your ship fighting when it needs to. bc when i play with my friends i feel that not enough (bc hearing and watching pirate story they are 10 to 30 crew so from 1 bot sloop to a 3 bots Galion is better than 10 bots on a ship for the game)
as much as i like the idea for bots, the only place i could really see them work is in a single-player instance like a pirate's life had, just imagine how broken it would be if you had pirates that could bail water tirelessly without messing up, or hit disgustingly long-distance cannon shots like skeletons or jack sparrow in lords of the sea can
@mosek9999 10-30? Actual pirate ships had crews in the 100s.
But no to bots. If you can not manage the vessel and need help get more people.
@mosek9999 no it wouldn't imo. it sounds busy. The vessels we sail on have been so simplified vs actual sailing that it is easy for small crew sizes. If you are asking for bots that help, you need to just get better at all of the steps.
Why are guys assuming me and my friends are bad at game. i just said a idea to have bots ingame to have realistic pirate experience but you guys dont want it i understand but still my leader choice systeme is great idea or not? since no body talked about that you could have double money and you can have text

(camptaine....nametag)Having a leader goes against the pirate code. Please see Article 4.

A realistic pirate experience doesn't contain planks of wood that have the strength and ability to do things only at your command. From romanticized fictional piracy and even realistic piracy, decisions and actions are made or ignored on several ends, it's almost like it's a bunch of humans with different thoughts and similar goals, with the only thing possibly separating their power and control is their ability and strengths between each other.
Make some friends, do some sailing, and make some decisions, as long as you have fun, you're living a true Pirate's Life, with all the good and bad in between!
1). If you need a bot, just find actual crew to fight with you. If you prefer to solo just to have a bot that isn’t right.
- seeing how most skeletons on cannons tend to “aim” perfectly I’m a no.
- leader system would just make nobody willing to deal with random crews. Which for me is always fun to interact with random players who mindset is different. Work together bot against.
- will end up with young kids who demand to much and wonder why nobody stays to play.
