I heard that rare wants to bring back the pirate legend curse and I dont think its a good idea. So heres why:
The only thing why so many people wear this is because its pretty rare, it is not really og but at least something that shows off that you are playing this game for a while and because it was time limited.
In my oppinion theses 3 aspects are the main aspects why people who own the pirate legend curse equip it and the people who dont own it want the curse so bad.
But if rare brings back the pirate legend curse the pirate legend curse wont be as overhyped as now. Its not rare, its not time limited anymore and it doesnt show neccessarly that you play this game for a while so the pirate legend curse will be boring.
So heres my suggestion. Why dont u rerelease the pirate legend curse in a different color. Purple would look awesome or maybe red. I think everbody would be happy, the people who got the original curse and the people who didnt get the original curse but still enjoy the look of it. I personally own the pirate legend curse and I would get really upset if it would get reintroduced into the game. I think time limited items which you cannot obtain anymore shouldnt be rereleased even tho I didnt get most of the things that were time limited. : )

As said in all the other topics about the PL curse and other items from Seasons - not intended or advertised as a time limited cosmetic.@notleagy the pirate legend curse should absolutely come back in its current form. Rare specifically said those cosmetics were NOT time limited.
All it shows is that you were PL at the end of season 1, so about a year.
I own it. Bring it back so I don't have to listen to the whiners. Also make a purple one too 💜

Nope, they shouldn't go back on what they said; people expect those cosmetics to show up someday.
I've been playing since launch and have stuff you can't get anymore like the hungering one figure head and tattoos, the wailing barnacle set, launch crew eye of reach, first patch eye patch, ect. However I don't like the fact that other people who weren't playing at the time I was can't enjoy the items.
I had this issue in season 1 since I got to about level 80 then I my job decided to increase my hours since people were leaving and I was still in school. I literally had no time to play and grind out levels. I would go to school then work and then work longer hours on weekends. I also had to get my homework done in between. I was way too tired to even play and it neared the end of the season. Just because I had a life to deal with and I was so unmotivated to play from being tired. I never got the Pirate legend curse.
I support the developers adding all theses items back
as long as you earn them in a meaningful way. What I mean is that they could add the legend curse back but you have to get difficult accommodations for them that way they still hold weight. A good example would be the gold curse. Its a rare item because its hard to get not because you played on a certain time and grinded for a couple days. this is what I personally feel it should be.
It is understandable feeling good about being unique but I think everyone should be allowed to enjoy it.
I understand people not wanting to maybe add back something like the legendary weapons since it was a VERY long and difficult grind. However, again if they just made it as hard to get but in another way then I think it would be fair. That way its hard to get but is still obtainable at your own pace if life gets in the way. sorry this was a bit long heheWear cosmetics because they look good

STOP TRYING TO DEFEND THIS DECISION IT IS AN INDEFENSIBLE POINT.

And there are things, that are communicated for coming back to the game one day...like PL curse or most of the season cosmeticsWhy should they change theyr mind about this? That would actually lead to even more discussions and crying, because "they changed theyr mind about PL curse, so why don’t change theyr mind about year-1-time-limited stuff"
@liljimothy2306 A very lovely curse that was a reward for completing level 100 renown in season one if you were a pirate legend at the time. It gives you the green ghostly eyes like the mysterious stranger and also puts a green glowing Athena fortune mark over your heart which can't be seen unless you rock no jacket or no shirt or a jacket with an open chest.
@liljimothy2306 if you want a slight reference just look at my profile picture. I Essentially drew my pirate as he is with the curse. Granted I bungled the Athena mark a bit.

Different circumstances - removed game mode vs very, very slow appearance in shops.
@tek-lt Arena cosmetics are not obtainable anymore and thus have been given Time Limited status. As per Rare employee statements about them.
