As of today we have 3 sets that are here for rewarding 2 types of players :
-Golden sailor set for all players,
-Golden Legendary/Legendary Silver for Pirate legends.
Those can be earned throughout mainly logging in on special dates.
But the "super dedicated players"(quoting the devs in the season 6 trailer) from arena got one peace of the Victorious Sea Dog set and it would be a great idea to reward these players by giving them the rest of the set just like the 3 sets mentioned above.
Rewards for dedicated players?
I'd rather we had some more rewards for people who do difficult tasks.
Too many rewards are locked behind pointless grinds or just getting lucky on when you login.
Some challenges like "clear a fort, a fleet and kill an Ashen Lord in one play session with the Reapers Mark raised"
Or "beat all 9 SoG Tall Tales without dying"
Clear all APLs Tall Tales in under 5 hours
Personally stuff like this would be much more rewarding than 'login before 20th April for new sails' or 'clear 500 forts for nice sails'

I agree with you the only thing is we just need more cosmetics to get doing those challenges-on-a-day

Maybe a DA based recolour (like for golden legendary) for pirate legends
For now we can finish th golden sailor set as it seems like it is getting everything from the ship to the equipment passing by the weaponsRare is bad about giving out exclusive stuff enabling players who literally have no life to flex and brag about it. It is bad practice imho.
Then Rare wants to compromise and give out alternative versions of the exclusive items because they don’t want to disappoint the toxic players who would rather brag about something rather than you have the opportunity to earn it. Some of us have jobs and cannot meet the deadlines for some of these events but I guess that doesn’t matter around here.
I love Sea of Thieves and the Rare team but there are some very disappointing decisions being made.
Rare team if you read this please make some decisions based on your best judgement and leave the community out of it, we don’t have to be a part of everything related to the development of this wonderful game.

The level 50 SD (hardly a sign of "super dedication") reward was the Good Boy set, not the VSD blundy. The VSD blundy was rewarded for LSD.
I saw a suggestion in the forum before, that the remaining VSD set should have been rewarded to those with LSD+28/28 SD commendations. That felt appropriate to me. Rare apparently didn't agree, and I feel it's probably too late now.
I'd like to see more cosmetics in general; including time-limited ones, including ones locked behind grindy commendations that require dedication. But at this point, I don't want to see the rest of a VSD set unless Arena ever makes a return.
They should give the mysterious strangers jacket identical to the ferryman one, pirate lords gloves with rings, and the legend of the veil mask, instead of a costume.
Like midnight blades mask, it will be covering the face of the character with the eyes seen from another pirates pov. The hat can be worn over it.
They should give a white colored scrappers vest and slouch hat to look like a rich guy in vegas xD.
Lsd, should have been given the rest of vsd weapons.
Lsd is not the only thing for dedicated players.@thejukster4887 the super dedicated arena players got the good boy set… the blunder buss was a one off when the discussion around LSD rebalancing was going around
@thejukster4887 well those other sets you mentioned above are incomplete, so I wouldn’t make sense to give Sea Dog players a complete set if you’re modeling it off of existing sets. Maybe the rest of the rest of the weapons could’ve been a good reward but I think we’re past that time now.

I bolded the part that is a bit offensive. We are not toxic because we have cosmetics. We are not toxic if we use cosmetics people can not get any more. We are not toxic for wanting rare to add more new cosmetics than simply letting everyone get everything.
We have jobs too. I have every time limited cosmetic. I work 2 jobs, have a family, have a house, and recently just finished my bachelor's degree (doing that as adult was awful but worthwhile). Please do not assume that we are all Sea of Thieves no lifers. When it comes to how I spend the hours I get to for myself I usually choose SoT over many other things. It's fun. If you choose to not partake in something that is on you the player, not Rare the game developer.
As far as the Op is concerned, Rare is getting better about introducing time limited skins into the game. Its a matter of collecting them. Arena got the Good Boy. Would it have been cool for a set for people that had finished all arena commendations, sure. Is it necessary, no.
@captain-coel tbh almost everyone is toxic who has older items braging about it to not make ppl get older items if u have some older items and u had a job good for u that u did have time for sot but there are ppl that don't and work in construction site and a 2nd job and don't even have time for they're own family but almost everyone being like a child cuz they have good items and we have the shiit left here like a cherry under my eyes as a facepaint and u call that a nice item.... like rly skullbone skars set facepaint everything is very nice comparing to this shiit we are getting and the recolors that they made are even shittier and some of the items don't even get recolors but when this game will die they will start to release it but lets hope they're old players stay then cuz it will be late for old and new players
@urdearest-santa I have never once seen a pirate bragging or putting people down for not having cosmetics. Its the simple fact if you weren't there you don't get them. We want to see more new items added, not just rerelease old ones. We wear them to show our pirates story. And there have been times when recolors are actually nicer than the OG. Example Silent Barnacle is nicer than Wailing Barnacle.
@ottyman8687 Was not a fan of you commendation ideas in the past but these I could get behind! Mainly the clear all world events in one session!
