Pirate themed playing cards to pass time
Pass time while sailing
I suggest making up your own Dice games if you have an Closed Crew you feel also would like a minigame to play.
For fast rounds try Roll a d6 and rule:
-get a 1 your marooned. (lose the round)
-get a 6 you mutiny. (kick a crewmember of your choice out of the round)
-last one in wins the round.Have fun sailing into rocks.
I'd like to see this added, not every crew has to be paying full attention to the ship at all times, for example my own crew can set going in a direction and then everyone just get's on their phone until the wind changes or something interesting happens. As long as the game can be saved in between getting up from the playing table, I don't see why not. If your crew is lazy and you can't manage something yourself, that's for you to dispute with your crew, the game's goal is for people to have fun
Eh why don't u shoot your crewmate to improve aim? It won't deal damage, but i do it every time, and even succeed all. Try to shoot your crewmates character and move around like doing a tdm. You can also vote down a tall tale, i have many checkpoints but i have never completed. So i just read whatever's written xD
I'm against mini games as such above. This isn't to say that I'm against the introduction of new activities. I would just prefer actual activities that contribute to the voyage not give players an excuse to leave all the sail-work to one person.
I essentially want fishing like activities. Activities that provide something to be used to accomplish in game goals. Fish provides a food item and can be sold or eaten. I want productive activities, not time wasters.
Anyone who says "we need minigames to pass the time while sailing" doesn't understand how to make the most out of sailing. You could be adjusting sails, navigating, on lookout duty, fishing and cooking, or playing music. Heck you could even cannon yourself over to small islands to fill your pockets with resources.
I do see an idea here. MINIGAMES!
Yes, mario party style.
How about we have mini games? A new faction, trading company.
This could be with the lore too.
I will try to type in a dramatic way.
The mysterious closure of sea dogs have left them apart!
Demarco sits upon the tavern, with no hope.
But lesedi returns, with their fathers help, they create the danger games!
Fun, but not as the siblings loved their arena...
The danger games offer a variety of mini games.
Pirate legends get to play a special type.
Go to any outpost, and find demarco on the beach, standing with 5 of his loyal danger representatives. Vote on a minigame you would like to play.
This will only happen with your crew.
Demarco and his loyal people will jump on your boat, set you sail to the sea dogs tavern, or a seapost, or a large spacious island, depending on the game.
Games-
Hide and seek
This game mode gets your hud off, and you cannot go to settings to turn it on. The hider must hide on the large island, anywhere except caves. If its a galleon, 3 people are seekers and 1 hider. If its a brig, 1 hider 2 seekers on sea dogs tavern, if its a sloop, 1 will hide on a outpost anywhere.
Find and you would get 10k gold.
Hide until the timer ends, and get 10k gold.
And alot more games.
Specific commendations unlock unique cosmetics, with ship liveries, to weapons, and more. How about:
- keeping a proper bow watch (for ships, rocks, shipwrecks, barrels of plenty, and kegs in the water)
- jumping off to barrels, shipwrecks and islands for supplies
- keeping the sails in the wind
- practicing jump lunges
- fishing
- if truly nothing else to do, play a shanty
Too often, people seem to forget they are a ships crew
People here are acting like if you don't keep an eye out every second you're going to immediately sink. Are you telling me you've never had a voyage where you need to go to an island, you have a clear direction and you're just against the wind? No amount of "keeping sails in the wind" is going to change that.
Rocks don't just appear out of nowhere. Most of the time you can set a course and just sail and you won't hit anything. Constant wheel adjustments aren't necessary.
A lot of people are saying you should fish instead, as if that doesn't also limit your view and distract the player instead of "managing" the ship.
As far as playing a shanty goes, while enjoyable at times, it is just holding down 1 button. Not much of a time passer.
Tools not rules as the devs says. If people get sunk while playing card games below deck it's on them. And if your crew prioritises card games over managing the ship when necessary, you should pick up a better crew.
