so plz give players that have low end computers and outdated models more options to be able to play your game with better fps and less lag. until they can finally upgrade
You guys need to add other graphic/video settings for those that have low end computers or outdated models cause not all players are lucky to upgrade.
I would be behind an idea like this.
While my GTX1060 can run the game fine, the planned obsolescence issue facing technology now is becoming very serious. And by insisting on leaving older machines behind people are only contributing to the problem
So yes, add lower detail settings to prolong the life of older devices before they are left behind.
For those of you who don't know what planned obsolescence is, it's when a device is designed to become obsolete in order to make you buy a new one. Stuff like the Xbox 360, or PS3 and soon Xbox 1 and PS4 are designed to be replaced by newer models.
Gamedevs will (by no fault of their own) make stuff for the newest hardware, but by not adding functionality for older models, they get thrown away and the parts end up in other parts of the world where they are burnt in order to retrieve precious metals from the circuitry. This releases tons of toxic gases and chemicals.
Normally I would be against dragging world issues like this into games (because games are supposed to be an escape from the problems of the world) but if there are some people who would benefit from functionality from older technology then an idea like this should be pushed forward as much as possible.
It wouldn't even need to be permanent. Technology will overtake old models eventually, but by at leat trying to keep them alive, you would be helping cut down on pollutants and dangerous work carried out by the people who burn the computer parts.

@itz-majman how much is a dang xbox one?
Typically around 300-400 AUD, but I'm not sure where you are, so it could be "more or less" for you, but it's something you really just have to look into yourself since we have no clue what currency you use.
You sure it's not another issue with your specific pc? "Cursed" settings are pretty low as is, if anything, this game needs settings to improve lighting, special effects, particle effects, ray tracing, and overall, more features. Last time I played this game on "Cursed" was when I played this game on an old laptop passed down to me from my father decades back when he no longer needed it. I was planning on making it the next family heir- loom but the battery port started having problems.
Try doing a serious dust removal. Not just a shoot at it with some air and forget it, be thorough
in my experience making sure there isn't overheating and having good ventilation helps significantly
every couple months mines starts lagging out so I get on in there and clean it out and it works alright again.
I understand your frustration, but the game has graphics settings. Go into settings, graphics, there set all to common or cursed. I have mythical because i have a rtx 3070. Cursed, common, rare is great. I only find that on mythical it has beautiful colors and water is very clean. Xbox one has 30 fps and series x and s have 120 fps. What you should do is go into settings, graphics, turn everything to cursed. OR turn vsync off. What graphics card do you have? I think i can tell you how to get 60 to 90 fps.
Hope this helps@steppingfish438 said in You guys need to add other graphic/video settings for those that have low end computers or outdated models cause not all players are lucky to upgrade.:

What are you trying to run it on?
I got the game to give me 20 fps in an fx 8320 and 650ti. sure the resolution was 540 and settings were cursed, but it still ran.@steppingfish438 They mentioned in the patch notes for today's update, that improvements have been made for low-end systems. Maybe your wish came true!
Performance and Stability
Improvements made to general client performance on lower-spec hardware.I've got a GeForce GTX950 and I'm able to run it at more than 60 FPS on 720p (settings on common). Tbh, it runs on 9 old consoles, I doubt they are doing a bad job on optimizing the game.
You can also get the Game Pass Ultimate and play on cloud if have those kind of issues (unless your connection is very bad too).

Better get a SeriesS...almost same price but better performance...costs 300 Euro
The minimum specs on Steam are:
Intel Q9450 @ 2.6GHz or AMD Phenom II X6 @ 3.3 GHz
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 or AMD Radeon 7750For reference, these processors came out in March 2008 (for Q9450) and April 2010 (for AMD Phenom II X6). The graphics cards came out in 2012. Playing on hardware that old is probably going to get you a pretty jittery experience but it will run sort of if you turn everything down and play at low resolution.
I don't think you're going to get much more effort into support for older or lower spec hardware than that.
