Firstly does anyone have any idea what use the lift in the sea forts have and secondly does anyone know where to find the prison key?

The winch is for those that have rowed in with a rowboat... to allow for easy treasure removal! Also... if you put your treasure on that platform and then lower it you can harpoon it all from outside.
The prison key... well that's a mystery for another day ;D
@craftiesttwill1 check your “adventures” tab for a clue as to when the prison key will come into play. Figured at least that’s what it will be for given the nature of it.
