Ahoy mateys!!
I really wanna know what everyone thinks about the new stuff in season 6, good or bad?
I love season 6, the treasure and plunder, so much fun, the forts! Yarrr!
Hope everyone will have a grand weekend! Yarrr!!!
Forts have tremendous potential for improving and expanding the experience imo.
Not only for chill and peaceful interactions and gameplay but also hostile scenarios if pirates coordinate and participate.
I'm typically chill on content. If it adds to the experience and to options without sacrificing balance it's a positive addition imo.
Does it address or improve some of the concerns I have with the environment and food chain? no
Is the update great for potential with adding to the experience? 100%
Beautifully built with great music.

the fort's difficulty are pathetic and way too easy. Once the "freshness" wears off, I have a feeling that they will just be forgotten, more so than the underwater shrines since the rewards are worse than those
They will get done more often and get more loot circulating as they are than if they were difficult.
Events aren't popular anymore. The time requirement mixed with the risk of the time requirement leads people to adapt towards other content.
This is middle ground content that ultimately leads to more loot circulation which makes servers stronger for organic situations.
More difficult will kill it off faster than how it is currently designed, we have quite a bit of history to go off of now to see how people adapt and respond to content. More time consuming/difficult isn't going to help anything in my view.
People can say they will die or that the shrines are dead but from my organic experiences it's clear that it's much more likely to run into crews carrying around this middle ground loot than event loot. Add in that sea forts don't have people leaving their ship in the way shrines do and it's as good a chance as we have to get loot flowing.
This is more along the lines of a mini-vault. Vaults are popular because they are fairly enjoyable long term and because the time/risk/reward makes sense for players that don't want the intensity. It's a solid addition for mid-range farming which is where more and more of the population lie.
Forts could be the next best thing about this game, if players use them often enough.
I really like the idea of a defensive base.
That being said, there isn't too much incentive to stay there for long, other than to mass-produce cooked fish. If only there was a way to passively accumulate loot the longer you stayed...
