Is there a way to play sea of thieves alone? I’m tired of spinning hours and hours and then getting stolen by a meaningless player who’s stealing everything I’ve done.

No but you can do a few things that will help you out
Sell every 20 minutes
Don't stack loot and never assume the server is dead or you are safe
Don't hide your loot around your boat, you want it easy to sell. If you get robbed or attacked your loot isn't safe anyway. People that are going to attack you are going to attack you. Keep loot easy to sell
Always keep up on selling and you consistently minimize your losses then you'll be alright.
Just to add on: Don't raise emissary, just puts a target on your back for the flag alone. Devil's Roar is a great place for the solo player just looking to get something done, not many people go out there because volcanoes are kind of annoying lol But that's the trade off, less chance of pvp but sometimes you gotta stop what you're doing and let nature do her thing. Personally, I bring a bunch of bait with me and do some fishing while I wait.
Biggest thing is don't get attached to your loot, selling often makes that easier. You don't have to complete the voyage before you turn in the loot. Resist that urge to see your ship covered in shinies, go do an island or two, swing by an outpost and sell it, go do a couple more. Rinse and repeat.
I'm with you, I'd be perfectly happy playing on my own, but the game and the community aren't changing anytime soon so adjust your play style a bit and try to adjust your mindset about playing. If you want to hoard your treasures a bit, well you might want to watch some videos, Phuzzybond is generally recommended for solo players. He's got some good videos for how to avoid combat and how to pvp as a solo player.
Or be like me and completely let go of the loot (a lot easier having max rep, all the cosmetics i particularly care about, and a good chunk of commendations). I rarely have more than 5 things on my ship, if someone comes at me I just scuttle and move on. No one can force you to fight and starting over generally isn't a big deal if you don't raise emissary and sell often.

@targasbr Yes, but after hours and hours of play I can’t be robbed while asking please if they can spare me. You realize that makes the game toxic and nobody plays with it anymore.

You can ask them to spare you, but that doesn't mean they will. It's a pirate game, stealing is the basis of the game, this is not being toxic.

Very few people? Em...no...I see people all the time...and if there were so few people, who's robbing you then all the time?

For 2 years the game has consistently prioritized the casual gamer. Almost everything that has been released, that either completely catered to new and casual players or very much kept them in mind while designing the content.
There is toxic behavior within any community but as a whole the people are very passionate about this game and fantasy world. I hope you choose to stick with it because I have no doubt that you are capable of becoming a pirate that can thrive. Solo or community focused there is room here for you.
Stick with it and you will do things someday that you do not think are possible right now. Awesome things. Unforgettable things.
@targasbr In my opinion you can avoid being as bad/infamous as real pirates. I don’t think the actions that pirates had are to be emulated 100%. If you want at all costs to destroy the sweat that one has poured for that this foul, but why with me? There are other people on the server who might be happy to have their treasures stolen.
Be a good sport. Sea of Thieves is a pirate game, and stealth, stealing and battles are all part of the fun. All pirates on the seas accept that, but be a good sportsman in both victory and loss.

Let me get this straight... Do you buy a pirates game and want to avoid being like pirates? It would be the same as buying Forza and wanting to walk around the city streets... Wouldn't it be easier to buy GTA then?

This game brings out the bi***y part of humans and benefits them as well. I think it’s a bad life lesson for kids/teens who play with it. There’s a reason pirates were killed after all. Anyway, why GTA? It has nothing to do with sea. If there was a game identical to sea of thieves but with a single player mode or only friends mode, I wouldn’t think twice about buying it.

Games are made for that, so we can do things that wouldn't be right to do in the real world. Pirate game, you can't expect less.

This game is not made for children. Teenagers know very well how to take care of themselves at sea, possibly many of those who steal from you must not be over 16 years old.
There is always a reason to hunt pirates, however, if you research you will see that there was also a reason why many became pirates, especially during the golden age of piracy. There are dozens of books that explain this, but if you're feeling lazy, I suggest a documentary called The Lost Pirate Kingdom on Netflix, it's a good start for research if you're interested. But anyway, I'm not here to talk about history.
Anyway, why GTA? It has nothing to do with sea. If there was a game identical to sea of thieves but with a single player mode or only friends mode, I wouldn’t think twice about buying it.
There are several games similar to Sea of Thieves that are played in single player mode, King of Seas and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag are two examples.
A phrase I say often and becomes more true every day: If you like Sea of Thieves but want to change the essence of it, I'm sorry to say, but you don't like Sea of Thieves.

Nope, the reason why new PvE server threads are closed is because the topic has been talked to death and Rare already gave their position (No!!).

Actually, the way this usually happens is someone comes here to complain about PvP and requests some kind of PvP-free option or an offline mode. Then others respond to explain why these options would be detrimental to the game and they offer advice on how to succeed. That’s when people start calling into question the moral, emotional, and/or intellectual development of those who oppose the idea of PvP-free or offline options. That is when things get derailed. Sound familiar?
