As I hope most sot players know that you can buy storage crates,cannonball crates,wood crates, and firework crates which allows to get ready for the grind ahead quicker. What I am suggesting is to add Treasure Chests to the list because right now you can only buy an ashen chest. Like the storage crate, the treasure chest would not contain any items upon purchase and claim.
Purchasable Treasure Chests
Stop when you see a skelly captain on a beach. Get a riddle and you get a carry chest. Unfortunately the riddle ones are usually on big islands 😆
Also, if you're near Northstar Seapost, stop by Sudds and start his TT. The first stop is the island immediately north or south and you get an Ancient version of the carry chest.
In the meantime...
@pithyrumble I'd never would of thought to use tall tale for treasure chest. That's thinking out side the box lol
You could buy the ashen key and chest also. Its a decent amount of dubloons but who needs them anyway.
@burnbacon and same story for storage crates but they still are available to buy. an ashen chest is locked which just about everyone knows, and obviously thats gonna cost doubloons so lets say you buy an ashen chest and then an ashen key and then you sell the items from the ashen chest, that was 150 doubloons just for 3 slots and minor loot; but if they added treasure chests to merchant store, it would be lets say 17,500 gold. Personally i would prefer to just spend the gold instead of doubloons and im sure others agree with me. also it is easier to buy a chest then it is to find one. a treasure chest is a chest that stores treasure hence the name "Treasure Chest". yes you can find an ashen key and ashen chest but to get a free ashen key you either need to steal it or get it from a keymaster, and as for ashen chest, you get them from events like skele ships, even if its free, thats a lot of work just for a chest when you could just buy a chest at any outpost
