Here is a list of shanties I think may fit well with sea of thieves and would prove to make our sailing sessions more... groovy
Each ov these songs must be earned through commendations and the way they are earned I have tried to base upon what the song is about, the lyrics, or the origins of the songs.
Sailors Hornpipe
Some Kind of Banjo and Kazooie pirate version
Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya
15 Men on The Dead Man's Chest
Strike the Bell
THE MONKEY ISLAND THEME
However, each of these songs must be worked for, they shouldn't only be available for a certain amount of time by using some kind of event, EVERYONE should be able to earn these shanties.
Earning Strike the Bell- In order to earn this shanty you must find and ring every bell on each island in the sea of thieves aswell as Strike the bell on 25 different enemy vessels.
Earning Johnny I hardly knew ya- beat the drum for 5 seconds while in 25 battles with other crews, beat the drum for 5 seconds while 50 battles with skeleton ships
Earning Sailor's Hornpipe- Sink 10 player ships in storms, sink 15 skeleton ships in storms, catch a fish while in battle.
Earning 15 Men on The Dead Man's Chest, fight 2 other crews at the same time on different islands: Chicken isle, Smugglers Bay, Booty Isle, fletchers rest.
Earning THE MONKEY ISLAND THEME!!! (The monkey island theme is far more special and would require more thought, maybe journals of some kind or hidden markings throughout the map telling the legendary story of guybrush threepwood.
And finally, Earning the Banjo and Kazooie theme would prolly be in the pirate emporium...
Jk, most likely paintings and markings across the map telling the story of Banjo and Kazooie aswell.
This thread is something I just think would be cool, I love the idea of commendations but I just think that we need more interesting ones, commendations are the key to more pvp and more player interactions. (In my opinion)
What is everyone else's opinion on these ideas? What commendations do you think would better suit the songs?
