Title of the post says it all. Setting aside my and some other players dream of a game with no FOMO, having a constant influx of time limited cosmetics is the best choice which Rare is doing with adventures! Time limited cosmetics felt really bad for all the players starting from seasons where for some reason they just stopped releasing new time limited cosmetics which just made those new players feel like their pirates story was just not as important as Y1 players. This problem has been solved with the return of time limited items through adventures though which is great!
However! The second problem that the title stated is still very present and I was reminded of when checking Rare's twitter. Rare stop constantly posting photos of time limited cosmetics that players can't get anymore, and don't make time limited cosmetics and key part of the game or lore! Seeing an old time limited cosmetic is cool once and a while, what's not cool is constantly being reminded that you do not have a time limited cosmetic and that you will never get it.

Now I want to make clear I AM NOT SAYING TO RETURN THESE ITEMS TO THE GAME! However, I am saying for in the future to make better choices about what items to make as time limited. Players now will always play the tall tale, see skele ships, and vote on athena table to be reminded of time limited cosmetics they will never have and can never have. This feels so bad for players of the game.
That being said wailing barnacle, wandering reaper, Belle's compass... all great choices since in the future these items are not likely to return in the game to serve as a reminder for players that missed them that they will never get them.
In short to recap stop making time limited items appear in ads and in the game since they only serve as a constant reminder to players that never got them that they will never get them.
P.S. and before someone says that them being in the game makes them cooler, wandering Reaper and wailing barnacle are already considered cool and ferryman sword was the most sought after weapon before Jack Sparrow had it there was no reason for him to use it as well.
