New Curses and Pirate Legend Curse Returning?

    Just a few curse cosmetic ideas that I've been thinking about besides the Skeleton Curse (if it's coming in a future update) and how the pirate legend curse can come back for some who missed the season to get it.

    Shrouded Curse - Pirates who stayed too long in the Devil's Shroud become twisted with red smoke around their body.

    Ancient Curse - Stealing treasures from the Ancients turns a pirate into a reptile like humanoid creature with scales and feathers and a head of a lizard.

    Pirate Legend Curse - This can be returned if you happen to be a Pirate Legend and can be purchased at the store in Athena's Fortune Hideout.

    Oh, i like that shrouded curse idea!

    I just want a ghost curse personally. I love the way my character looks on the ferry of the damned.

    @cpt-redmane For the shrouded curse, the eyes would be red, and the skin would have red mist and bright red glowing streams floating inside the body, much like the emissary reaper cannons that glow red.

    Any curse that changes the model drasticly unfortunately will never be added, so the ancient curse wouldn't work.

    Skelly curse is a given at this point, it just needs a good reason to show up.

    The shrouded curse seems interesting, although the smoke effect might be tricky to implement. Really depends on how it works.

    The pirate legend curse will be added back one day, but most likely not attached to merely hitting pirate legend, as that is too easy. Most likely will be attached to a new commendation or perhaps completing some kind of special voyage.

    Skeleton Curse sounds great, and I wanted the Shrouded Curse as part of the Dark Adventurer set when it came out.

    Personally I would like the skelly curse to be more like the curse of Cortez in Curse of the Black Pearl where at night with the moon you are a skelly and in the day you are normal. I just hit pirate legend and I started playing Feb 27 or 28 of this year so I never had the chance to get the legend curse but then I heard they were working on a way to bring it back and I was relieved. And the ancient curse could work if it's just the scales.

    pl curse should be rewarded when you get the legend of the sea of thieves commendation…makes the most sense
