Xbox Series X: Game won't start

  • So, I tried to open Sea of Thieves on my Xbox, and the second I selected it, it immediately went black and came back on the same screen. It initially said it needed a second to setup and then it said there was an expected issue. I'm guessing the update was either bugged or didn't complete successfully.

    Does anyone know if there is a way to check what save data you have in the Cloud for Xbox or if uninstalling everything (including save data) from the console will allow you to restore it from the cloud or if there is something else I can try?

    I'm looking to get this solved as soon as I can, but I need some guidance as I haven't had this issue on Xbox before specifically.

  • @cyberguardian77 if you're worried about losing data, fear not.

    Everything in your account is cloud saved, so of you reinstall the game your data will be safe.
