Game Freezes In Directional Menu & While Going Into Settings

    This has been a bug for a very very long time. Randomly while playing I will get stuck in a directional menu or if I go into the start menu. I can't get out of it and the game acts as though my character can move and eat fruit but I can't only move forward and back. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed. I just lost a stacked sloop with a level 5 emissary right after beating flameheart. HOW has this not been addressed? It was happening a year ago and now seems bad as ever! I'm just finally done with this game. The infinite time I've spent playing this game I never see bugs get fixed. I'm not even gonna mention how bad the servers are where randomly boats start floating.

    I love this game, but this is pathetic. I want to make sure this issue is seen so those who haven't given up on the developers might get a fix. I grind a ton of hours on this game, but I'm done putting up with absolute incompetence.

    My game starts freezing after a few seconds as well. Maybe a new bug. I dont know.

    @axecaliburtv This is a bug from 2018. You can find the same complaints on the forum. The hud freezes on screen and you can't get out of it. Below is the actual embarrassing answer they gave me. Their answer is....don't change the F keybind. Okay I never did. My wife has a brand new laptop this same thing happens on and she gets the same freeze mid game. I can't believe their actual answer. 4 years and no fix? Unreal how pathetic the devs are.

    The team are aware of an issue in which a radial menu can become stuck on screen.

    This is caused by players rebinding one of the following keys X on a Xbox controller or F on a keyboard to the radial menu.

    Whilst the team are working hard to resolve the issue please try the below to fix your issue:

    Solution:
    Launch Sea of Thieves
    Select a ship to play on and launch yourself into matchmaking
    Bring up the Game Settings (Menu button on Xbox Escape on PC)
    Select Settings
    Complete the following:
    PC: Select Keyboard and Mouse or Controller depending on what your input preference is
    Xbox: Select Controller
    Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Reset to Default

    So I tried everything while my crew was cruising on a gally: Update drivers, restart PC and router, but still my whole game would freeze (not just the menu) after joining this (brand new) gally.

    When I started a fresh gally, it did not freeze. We solved it by portal hopping. On a new server it worked fine.

    as you see in rare response they gave a possible solution but also stated they were trying to resolve the issue…however, i dont think alot of people have this issue thus why it has taken to long to resolve. if you dont have a large pool to take from its hard to pinpoint the exact issue. so i did have a crew mate encounter something similar where he couldnt move side to side…he left game and came back and that fixed it…

    Leaving fixes it for a short period of time. I've never seen such a buggy game im my life. They boast 25 million players and a bug from 2018 still goes unresolved. Just weak
