Voyages in barrels - Supply transfer

  • This hasn't been really talked about...please let us pick up voyages from barrels while using the supply transfer...
For those who don't like that voyages maybe included an option to toggle this feature

Edit: after a little talk, I guess, just giving us the "barrel empty"-text, while we use the crate, would surfice and probably less work to implement

    I second this proposal!

For those wondering at first (as was I) he is talking about picking up voyages as well, when we empty barrels into our storage crates with the new automated option.

For those who don't like that voyages maybe included an option to toggle this feature

Or maybe just give us the option to remove certain voyages we dislike in particular?

  • @greengrimz to delete the radial voyages (actually all of them), we have the portals for...😉

True but that way you remove all of them. I'd prefer if I could just manually filter them and delete the ones I don't find appealing.

I think, that would take away the unpredictability of those voyages...you don't know if they are good or bad for you...like 16 skellie captains on a small island you just need to dig up a few chests (yes, I had that once, long before fire was a thing...so it was bad for me 🙈)
I like those moments, spices things up a bit...wouldn't have happen, if it were possible to delete them

  • Having bonus voyages in the radial is a minor annoyance at best - and it certainly is 1 that you should be able to tolerate. Otherwise, just ignore them by not doing them.

I'm fine either way regarding the OP's proposal. Make it happen, or don't - it makes no difference to me.

  • If they simultaneously introduced a means by which to organize our quest radial, I'd be OK with this. Something similar to how you can organize your emotes. The logic with which they prioritize quests in your radial is kind of silly at times.

Messages in a bottle, from barrels or from notes on islands are always placed in order of receiving at the end...
Shrines are always at the front
Then voyages you've put on the table and emissary voyages in order of receiving...
I'm pretty fine with the way it is now

  • @schwammlgott bottle/barrel quests you've acquired stay in front of Emissary quests for some dumb reason and coral bottle quests stay in front of everything. It's dumb. I don't want it that way. Especially when I'm doing Athena Voyages.

I mean I deal with it like the rest of us, but I'd love to be able to organize my radial. Especially when you've got a whole bunch of maps for a voyage and plan out your path and want to put the quests in order.

I pretty much avoid grabbing barrel quests and bottle quests at all cost because they clutter my quest radial...personally I'd hate this feature unless I could organize things.

In my experience a trip to the Ferry move some of the maps, but can't remember which ones.
Aren't the maps from Captains put between the voyages and bottles/barrels ? I'm not really sure anymore.

    I'm not a fan of fast take/store.

    Oh I use it....

But this. I keep forgetting to go back to check lol.

  • @schwammlgott
I think the fast to & from storage is fine as it is. It's a lot quicker and more convenient in its current shape than that resource gathering used to be.

As we tend up to pick up items that take a slot of the crate as well (cursed balls, fireworks) but only have one item, looking at barrels to see if there still is something in it that you can't pick up is part of the routine anyway.

As voyages go to your inventory instead, they don't have a place in the crate anyway thus should not be part of the supply transfer. Items that don't fit won't be put in your inventory either.

Someone who picks up every quest he can find BTW :).

I don't look into the barrels anymore after going through with the supply crate...from time to time I look into the crate, so I can see if there's still room in it...

I'm also picking up every quest I see...that's why I ask for this feature

I don't look in the barrels, I look at the barrels; if they're not empty it's either a voyage or storage crate has no more empty spaces and I need to take some fireworks, bait or cursed cannon balls from the crate. Even with voyage being part of the transfer, this is needed if you want to get all of the supplies.

  • @lem0n-curry in...at...whatever, you know what I mean...

that's why I look into the CRATE...if it's "full", I pick the ccb, fireworks, maybe pinapples...so there's enough room again...

Edit: I think the time advantage from supply transfer is almost zero if I have to put the crate down, look at the barrel and pick it up again...and that with every barrel...
So...maybe adding the "barrel empty"-text, while we use the crate would surfice to solve the problem and makes my idea obsolete

Well, I wasn't sure … and it's less effort to look at than to look in :), finally getting the hang of it to not look into a barrel when I just have seen it's empty 😁.

I generally do it on outposts where most barrels are grouped: dropping crate and then glancing at several barrels, pick it up and continue.

On most other islands it's just an old-fashioned grab supplies without a barrel crate, unless we are really in need of supplies or I come across barrels with a lot of loot, but then the voyages and fireworks I've already taken.

Knowing when barrels empty while holding a crate would be a good solution.
