Video driver crash after 30 minutes of playing

  • Hello, i bought Sea of Thieves 2 days ago and i downloaded it but it crashes after 30 mins of playing, let me explain.
I downloaded the game and put all the graphic settings on Cursed because i don't have a pc that can hold sea of thieves really much, so i started playing with a small window so it didn't crash, but after a couple of minutes (30 mins) it crashes and it says that the video driver crashed and was reset and it also says that i should update my video driver but if i do it my gpu won't work giving me error Code 43 on Device Manager, please tell me how to solve it if you know.
    Thanks.

As you get the code after around 30 minutes a common cause for error code 43 can be your GPU temperature, and in order to fix this problem, you need to make sure that your graphics card is free from dust. Worth a try?

  • also says that i should update my video driver

You have yourself or the computer have you the answer.

  • @lizalaroo I'll try cleaning it, thanks.

  • You could also try downloading MSI afterburner and setting a custom fan curve. Many GPU fan profiles from factory don't ramp up fast enough during high loads. My old 1070FE had that issue. My current RX6800XT isn't fantastic either with regards to keeping itself cool so I've adjusted the fan curve myself. Make sure you've also got performance mode set in your windows settings.

  • @a10dr750 Thanks, i'll try it.

  • @lizalaroo I cleaned my GPU, now what should i do?

  • @a10dr750 I don't know how to set custom fan curves, so i just raised the fan speed and overclocked CPU and RAM, now the game lasts more, but it crashes sometimes, maybe if i solve error Code 43 on Device Manager after updating GPU driver it will work? i'm gonna try
