As I, and every other player can see, only 5%(approx.) r completed these things. I just don't get it. This game is not a singleplayer, just why?? Can we get some normal updates? Like new biomes, anything. New enemies, or just reskins of old enemies. That's starting to be boring. I like grinding your game just 4 fun, but these promises, like "we have even better ideas than the new biomes" (not exactly what the community manager said, but u know if u know :D) r just funny, what could be better than a new biome? An another tall tale? Bro, only 5% of players r completing them, just WHY???
pls stop adding tall tales. I hope this is not only my opinion

You can't make the 5% as an indicator, because this game is in the Gamepass...some just download it, start it, don't like something like the graphics and instantly deinstall it again...those people also count to the 100%
Look at how many ate a banana (72%), or set sail (69%), or bought just one grade of any faction in the game, so reaching lvl 5 in any faction (34%)...reaching lvl 25 is just 15%...should we take away the factions now because of that?@schwammlgott I'm talking about Steam, bro. Xbox doesn't count, I'm not sure if u can see global achievement % on Xbox. Every tall tale in Steam is like 5% only.

@schwammlgott I'm talking about Steam, bro. Xbox doesn't count, I'm not sure if u can see global achievement % on Xbox. Every tall tale in Steam is like 5% only.
The numbers I told you are XBox and Windows numbers...and the majority of the player base is on XBox...
@schwammlgott so, in total it is 10%(approx.) lol. 5+5. Easy.
These numbers r still too low. Btw they'll keep adding tall tales until online will start dropping, that's obvious lol.@trappy-trapp the first tall tale is 12% on XBox...last time they released numbers it was 25 million (?)...and 5 million of those on steam
As I said before, 15% of the xbox/windows playerbase made just one faction to lvl 25...you can reach lvl 25 in the first 3-4 hours...because of those numbers and your logic Rare should stop add stuff to the game completely...They’ve been adding plenty of other content besides Tall Tales for those who don’t like them. Just look at this year alone: one update had 5 TTS and the other four updates included other types of content.
They shouldn’t shy away from a certain type of content just because certain people don’t enjoy it. I myself absolutely love TTS and the lore they inject into the game. And the last five were beautifully crafted.
And on the topic of another biome, that probably won’t happen for awhile at least for a couple reasons. #1. Is that they can’t expand the map much with the limitations of the previous generation consoles. #2. Last time they made a new biome is was pretty fire but got left in the dust in terms of new content.
I’d personally rather have them expand on the Islands we currently have/ expand the SoTD.
@trappy-trapp so less than what percent is a problem? Look at the stats for players who unlocked Pirate Legend. Guess we shouldn't try and get more legend content based on that right? Wrong.
Also even 10% of 20+ million is 2 million players. Not a small number by any means.
OI , laddie ...Are ye out of yer mind , saying things like this is like starting a war on Christmas day ...i should ask the Popey to excommunicate you..."Don't develop anymore Tall Tales " , i fought for less in me young days ... Apparantly you have never played or completed a Tall Tale ? It's a freaking Blessing for your Ears ,for it's Music, a feast for Lore Lovers , and some of those riddles put a lot of tension on the gears of your brainmachine...
Nobody also forces you to do the Tall Tales, you rather plunder and burn , then who's keeping you , but this game was made for people with a lot of tastes , and by Jove , does those Tall Tales taste for more... a lot more...
This is written in a feeling of humor so don't feel attacked personally , but complaining about Tall Tales...On Christmas...Tss tss tss ,you should have known better... No worries , tomorrow is boxers day , then i'm even more snapier , cap.
That just you matey, I personally think tall tales are a great way to tell and expand the lore for the sea of thieves which quite the few people care about and want to see more off each season.
Obviously having update that add new content/ mechanic or feature is always going to be better then adding tall tales which is why we haven’t had any major story update since season 3 and a bit in season 4 which are filled with history and probably foreshadowing events.
Now recently it seem they are continuing with Flameheart story even more which most people wanted since Ashen winds update and exploring more about the Ancients with the new stone Aztec mask teased from the ORB. Hopefully they can find the perfect balance to expand the enough lore to last till next season while adding fair amount of new things to do or have.
With that all said Merry Christmas!
I'm not a fan of Tall Tales. Their quality varies too much and I think they are not a great use of development time.
Most players won't touch them after completing them once or completing all commendations. Why spend so much time developing tall tales when they all become irrelevant meanwhile something like FOTD continues to be something content creators are really excited to see. No successful Sea of Thieves content creator does tall tales more than a time or two.
The game was designed as a PvPvE game and honestly I think having these single crew tall tale experiences just don't fit, especially the 14 that take place in the actual world. They reward almost nothing after you complete the commendations. The game should be solely focused on getting loot on players ships to maintain a healthy PvPvE ecosystem which in turn engages players and makes things more interesting. There's a reason that most servers are just boring and we have so many server hoppers. Devs lost focus on what good content is.
Just 5% completed them - I imagine people enjoyed the first 9 tales but didn't like them doing 5 times, or enjoy them but don't care for finding all the books.
Singleplayer ? Tall Tales are singlecrew.
@trappy-trapp I adore the Tall Tales and can't wait to see more. I'd rather see changes in the world we have rather than expanding it even further just for the sake of more space to sail in, world's big enough as it is.
Others opinions may differ.
The Tall Tales are the best mixture of lore and gameplay added to the game, it's like reliving a part of SOT history through deeds of your own.
That being said the Maiden Voyage (aka the tutorial) is a Tall Tale and I'm glad it remains that way instead of the game constantly reminding old hands on how to repair their ship.

It wasn't because only 3% playing it - it was a small percentage of playtime vs a large percentage of tickets about other players that stopped Rare putting more time in it.
Edit: hmm... maybe above was why they removed communicating to other crews ...
Edit 2: They didn't say they stop support, they said they'd stop investing development in Arena.

Wow...that's compareable...👏🤦🏻♂️
Trophy % is skewed and should not be trusted for statistics. Many players play a portion of the tutorial and give up (Which doesn't begin to consider the number of players on game pass, quit the game after a few hours/ days, nor old players who never got around to playing the tales because they stopped playing before tales came out). These players are counted towards the game's population, which de inflates the actual chance of achievements and inflates the rarity of achievements received by players
If I'm not mistaken a huge portion of the population of the fan base like the tall tales and wish to see it grow. How do I know this? Because it's something that has been begged for since the inception of the game.
Also, you seem to have a huge portion of people counter arguing your point so might not be too far-fetched to say the majority of player either don't care, or actually enjoy the tales
@kommodoreyenser I haven't ended reading other comments, just logged in.
But pirate legend content is the end game content for those who r bored and completed everything, tried everything they could. Every game devs do this, and it has sense. What I said about tall tales, and what u said about the end game content, r not the same.@clumsy-george I do enjoy the game sound, etc. I do know that no1 forces me to play them. But I do also want devs to force me to try new islands, fight new enemies, etc.........................
I completed almost every tall tale. That's interesting, but I'd like devs to not keep spending their time and money on them. My opinion.@davyjones4you пишет в pls stop adding tall tales. I hope this is not only my opinion:

Don’t like them. Don’t do them and miss out on story.
It is sad only a few bunch havnt completed it. Sometimes the % is wrong which I like to know where you got that.
//
I got them from Steam lol. Literally every1 can see the % of any achievement.@mferr11 пишет в pls stop adding tall tales. I hope this is not only my opinion:
Not enough people are completing Tall Tales so we should stop adding them. Let's add a new biome instead, that'll get everyone hooked!
//
bro your logic is very bad in that line, I don't even want to answer... So... Simple.
If u'd be a producer of some, for example, chocolate company, and every1 would like milk chocolate (95% for example), and other side would like default chocolate (5%). AND the question is, would u keep making product for 5%, or for 95%? Bruh.
