Holy Revelation, Captain!

    I was just pouring through some old SoT videos when I noticed something interesting...

    In the Sea of Thieves Official E3 2018 trailer, you see a portent of doom most terrible featuring a very specific skeleton pirate - see here at 1m, 25s.

    Recognize him?

    Up until now, I thought it was Flameheart - but we all know that he's a joke; and has a beard - The latter was established as far back as the 2016 E3 trailer, seen here at 1m 10s.

    So, if it's not him, then who is it? 🤔

    Well, if you've gone through the A Pirate's Life Tall Tales, then you know him very well.

    I think it's Captain Bones, seen here in the A Pirate's Life Announcement trailer at 2m 38s.

    I think he's more than he appears. He likely holds secrets that we are only beginning to understand and is not as friendly as he may appear during the TTs.

    What do you think? Is he the big bad behind the scenes? 😅

    @galactic-geek Sadly that's not Captain Bones, However Captain Bones is in the first new tall tale for pirates life. He's at the Table at the back of the Galleon and The Cursed Captain Shoots him if you light the lanterns. However, I do think you are correct in assuming he is the mysterious Cap'n that was mentioned.

    @galactic-geek Because the one you point to in the video from the first PoTC TT is The Cursed Captain. Also Most likely to be The Infamous Cap'n who tricked Flameheart jr, as well is the leader of the Dark Brethren. Captain Bones is a different person and also does happen to be a skeleton and is present in the tale where I mentioned him. Sitting in a chair at a table in the back of a wrecked galleon. Same Captain Bones whos skull we have on our cutlass's from year one anniversary.

    Well, that's on me. I wasn't wrong; I just gave the wrong name. I was referring to the 1 from the PotC TTs.

    I miss these types of videos the most.

    Sadly, I think the skeleton is just a random Captain, seeing how he appears right after the mention of skeleton crew ships :/

    @burnbacon True but it does have a hat styled somewhat similar to the Cursed Captain so maybe, but yes, more than likely it's just an average skeleton captain.

    @galactic-geek 2016 Video for sure is Bobblehead of Fire. 2018 Might be the Cap'n/ Cursed Captain but like @BurnBacon said, probably just a standard captain.
